# GitNotēs

> GitNotēs is a mobile notes, todos, and infinite canvas app that uses your GitHub repositories as durable, versioned storage. A privacy-first, developer-focused alternative to Notion, Obsidian, Bear, Evernote, Apple Notes, Standard Notes, Logseq, and Joplin — with native Markdown, Neorg, and Org-mode support. Built by Vidwa De Seram in collaboration with Xaventra.

GitNotēs is mobile (iOS, Android), offline-first, and stores every note as a file in a Git repository the user controls. There is no proprietary lock-in, no opaque cloud — your notes are plain Markdown / Neorg / Org-mode files in your GitHub repos, versioned by Git itself.
